About The APC Foundation
The APC Foundation was established on November 3, 2025 by the family of Andrew Paul Coleman to honor, celebrate, and preserve his legacy.
We are a 501(c)(3) nonprofit public entity created to support the passions Andrew cherished by funding scholarships, grants, and philanthropic efforts that will impact the lives of students in positive ways.
Remembering Andrew
Andrew Coleman was a cherished son, brother, and friend. He was a remarkable individual.
From the moment he was born, there was curiosity. He loved to explore, see how things worked, ask why, and imagine what could be. That curiosity followed him into everything he did.
Andrew had a wonderful sense of humor, and a quick wit. It was sometimes mischievous, invariably clever, and perfectly timed. He had this incredible energy that filled our home - not loud or chaotic, but dynamic.
Andrew enjoyed music. He played the trumpet in middle school. He was a natural at reading music and mastered other instruments like the guitar and keyboards.
He loved the band Queen, along with many classic rock bands.
Andrew enjoyed gaming as a teen, spending his leisure time with his close friends online gaming. He was an expert at Rock Band and was able to sing every word of the songs from memory while playing the Wii guitar. Growing up Andrew also enjoyed Nerf Blasters and Legos. One of his mom’s favorite birthday parties was his Lego-themed one.
Andrew faced life with a combination of quiet determination and gentleness. He was also very regimented. These qualities were demonstrated in his learning of riding a unicycle, mastering indoor surf machines, and becoming a skilled skier as part of his high school ski club.
Andrew enjoyed traveling with his family throughout the United States, visiting over 40 states.
Like his dad, Andrew had a passion for roller coasters.
The two of them took several annual ‘Coleman Coaster Runs’ that consisted of riding 50 different roller coasters in 5 days.
They had the joy of riding over 250 different roller coasters on those trips.
Andrew was also a ride operator of the Ravine Flyer II as part of his summer employment.
Andrew had a wisdom that couldn’t be explained - only felt.
He was wise beyond his years, yet playful too.
He prioritized his studies; learning came quickly and naturally.
He was student of the year at his 5th grade graduation.
Andrew graduated summa cum laude from high school in 2021.
He was accepted as a freshman into the Texas A&M School of Engineering and after a successful freshman year, he received an invitation to their prestigious Aerospace Engineering program.
Andrew had a true love for all major US space programs & initiatives. He knew the status of every company involved in the programs, what missions were taking place, and every detail regarding the rockets, payloads, and teams involved. He never missed watching a launch.
As Andrew got older, he started showing an appreciation for photography and spent much of the summer of 2022 photographing the night sky.
He had an uncanny ability to point out the Little Dipper to his mom in a split second.

Andrew was the very first participant registered for the Mars300 Service,
which will mark his legacy among the first symbolic permanent travelers to Mars
and one of humanity's first 300 memorials on Mars.
This mission hopes for a launch in 2030.
Andrew’s dad is quick to perpetuate participation in these memorial spaceflight events.
Andrew was in his sophomore year at Texas A&M University when he died unexpectantly on October 4, 2022.
Losing a son and brother leaves a space nothing else can fill.
His presence. His eyes. His quirks.
The lasting impressions Andrew left on our hearts.
We honor Andrew with this foundation with gratitude and sorrow -
thankful for every shared memory, and brokenhearted for all we had yet to do.
We miss him deeply; and remember him always.
Even though Andrew’s time here was brief, his impact was infinite.
Gone too soon. Loved forever.
